Here's how a PBRC run actually goes down.

Step 01

Welcome to the Squad

A run leader shows up 15 minutes early to greet you and share any announcements for the day. Come say hi.

Step 02

New Member Photo

It's tradition. We snap a photo on your first visit and feature you on our IG story. (Totally optional.)

Step 03

Introduce Yourself

Before we take off, new members share their name, where they're from, and answer the question of the day. Shy? Pass.

Step 04

And We're Off!

Friends + music + pics (to prove it happened). 5K loop, accordion-style pacing, four stops to regroup.

  2. Stop 1: Stop, catch your breath, and catch up with friends!. Pause 2 to 3 minutes. Nobody gets dropped.
  3. Stop 2: Quick stop for chats and a group pic!. Pause 2 to 3 minutes. Nobody gets dropped.
  4. Stop 3: Last social stop, get to know someone new!. Pause 2 to 3 minutes. Nobody gets dropped.
  5. Finish: Back to the start. 5K done. Coffee and socials usually follow.

FAQs

Do I have to register or sign up to run?
There is no sign up or registration necessary! We only ask that you review & submit our waiver via the Heylo app.
Do I have to pay to join?
Pacific Beach Run Club is free and there are no fees to become a member or join our runs!
What's the pace?
Our front run leader maintains a 9:00/mi pace. However, we run accordion style with four designated stops where we pause 2-3 minutes so slower runners can regroup.
How do I enter the raffles?
Join our group on Heylo! When you check-in to each run you’re automatically entered into that day’s raffle. We also have additional raffles for concert tickets, race bibs and gift cards.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome! All dogs must be leashed and within 2 ft of their owner at all times before, during and after the run.
Do you cancel runs due to weather?
We do not cancel runs due to inclement weather. We run in all conditions!
Are there socials after the runs?
Of course! We’re a social club aren’t we? The social location is announced on instagram before each run.
Do we get discounts to local races & businesses?
We have a ton of discounts and freebies to local races and businesses! Make sure to join our community on Heylo to access all the perks!
