What's a Beacon?
Beacons are volunteers who keep the group safe, paced, and no-runner-left-behind during PBRC runs.
The Gig
Responsibilities
- Set the group's pace at 9-9:15/mi
- Act as crossing guards at major streets
- Help avoid pedestrians and bikers on crowded paths
- Make sure no runner is left behind
- For evening runs: bring a headlamp, flashlight, or equivalent
Are You In?
Eligibility
- At least 5 PBRC runs attended previously
- Have the Heylo app for communications
- Prioritize the safety of the group
- Possess a tracking device
- Commit to 4+ runs per month
- Be a human (pups have to stay at home)
