Who We Are

This website is operated by Not a Run Club, LLC d/b/a Pacific Beach Run Club ("PBRC," "we," "us"), a California limited liability company based in San Diego, California. This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website.

Information You Give Us

When you fill out a form on this site - such as the Beacon application, an event sign-up, or any other questionnaire - we collect the information you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, and your answers to the form's questions.

We use this information to review your submission, respond to you, and run the club. Form submissions are stored in our database and also delivered to us by email. If you provide an email address, we may send you a one-time confirmation that your submission was received.

Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the site, we automatically record basic visit information: the pages you view, the referring page, and your browser's user agent string. We use this to understand which parts of the site people use. We do not use this information to identify you personally.

We also use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics, third-party services that use cookies and similar identifiers to help us understand site traffic (for example, page views, approximate location, and device type). These providers process this data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. We also use browser storage for small functional flags (for example, so our own administrators are excluded from analytics). We do not use advertising cookies and we do not show third-party ads.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine with cookies disabled.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site: Supabase (database and hosting of submitted data), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), and Google (analytics). Each processes data on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PBRC, our members, or others.

Data Retention

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to run the club - for example, while a Beacon application is being considered and for our records afterward. Visit data is kept for trend analysis. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Contact below), and we will honor reasonable requests.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Like most websites, this site does not currently respond differently to Do Not Track signals. You can use the cookie and analytics opt-outs described above instead.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its effective date. Meaningful changes apply from the date they are posted.
